Swanbourne

This project was of the most interesting challenges for our landscape designers in Perth. The outdoor area snugly encased the house at this Swanbourne property. After several consultations with the client, a two level area was designed, keeping the area openly planned and spacious. By designing the lay of the decking and tiling to run down the length of the area, rather than across, further enhanced the impression of space and length. The entrance walkway to the front door was included in the landscape design, taking on the same approach with decking running lengthwise to the door.

The final landscape design was approved, and excavation and civil works began, preparing the area for brickwork and rendering, as well as granite paving.

The wall cladding was installed on the entire side of the structure, followed by the feature wall along the entrance corridor. Careful plant selection, garden design and lighting were essential to further elevate the appearance of space in the lovely courtyard.
